It is believed for more than 800 years that the holy Darbar of HUZOOR GARIB NAWAZ (RA) is a place where wishes and desires come true. The offering is being placed by the devotees of Huzoor Garib Nawaz(R.A.) all year round. Some devotees submit their offerings before their wishes fulfilled, while some others placed their offerings after their wishes answered. It depends on the i’maan and love of the devotee.
There are different ways and methods of offerings; like flowers, Chadar/Gilaf (Velvet Cloth), Ittar(perfume), Langer (distribution of free food ), Khatme Fateha, money, etc.
Important Note:
In terms of money, the Descendents of Huzoor Garib Nawaz (RA) cannot accept any zakat and/or fitra according to Prophet Mohammad (Sa.). Any devotee who is going to make a niyat (making a decision) to offer money towards HUZOOR GARIB NAWAZ(RA) please keep this matter in mind. Otherwise, your offerings cannot be accepted and will be refused.
Mind it please, our Sheikh or peer or master (whatever you call him) ask nothing for this. If anyone asks a return for these type of services then you can think the person is not from the lineage of Huzoor Garib Nawaz(RA).

A devotee’s wishes can be divers; like:
Black Magic (Kala Jadu/ Kufri):
This is real by the hadith of Rasulallah (Sa.). It should be removed, otherwise its effect could be very grave. By saying this, Tawaqqul on Allah(ST) and love for HIis Wali is important without any doubt. The offering can be submitted for this reason. Sometimes a phone call to our Murshid (Syed Hasnain Chishty) is sufficient in this regard.

Childless Parents:
Can submit offering to fulfill their desire. Inshallah, by the grace of Huzoor Garib Nawaz(RA), their wish will be heard.

Langer (Free Distribution Of Food):
Right from the time of HUZOOR GHARIB NAWAZ (R.A) the ‘Langar’ is cooked twice a day in the darbar of HUZOOR GHARIB NAWAZ (RA) and is distributed among the poor without any discrimination.
Degs (Cauldrons)
Inside Dargah Shariff two big Deghs (pots) are installed for cooking Niaz (purely vegetarian food; cooked with rice, ghee, nuts, safron & sugar).
Tomes Coryat, who visited Ajmer, at the time of Jahangir, says that the Mughal emperor once ordered the preparation of Khichri in the Degh to be distributed among 5000 people, taking out the first on a platter with his own hands, followed by the Queen, Noor Jehan, and other ladies of the Harem. Once, Shahjahan mixed the meat of a Nilgai (one of the species of antelope) in the preparation of Degh, which he had shot during a hunting expedition. In the second half of the eighteenth century, when Ajmer came under the control of the Marathas and Rajputs, a new kind of food known as Kesaria Bhat (saffroned sweet rice) was cooked in these Deghs and that has continued to this day.
Small Degh : It was presented by Emperor Akbar, 2400 kgs of food can be cooked in it that approximately amount to 60,000.00 Indian Rupees.
Big Degh : It was presented by Emperor Jahangir, 4800 kgs of food can be cooked in it and the cost comes to about 120,000.00 Indian Rupees. All these Deghs are prepared by the help of Zaireen (pilgrims/devotees) who can afford to cook through respective Khadims of Khwaja Garib Nawaz.
If anyone of you has a plan to cook Degh at any time of the year, please let us know in advance, so that we may make the necessary arrangements required, as Deghs are cooked all the year-round. But you have to book it in advance to cook, It can be cooked in your personal presence and also in your absence.
